Blog 1: a country I would like to visit
Travelling to a new city or country is always an amazing experience, i have the hope that, in a couple years, i can travel to many places, i want to go backpacking to the south of Chile, and then across Latin america (but those are dangerous dreams, specially for women...) . When i think about a country that i would like to go in a plane and as a "normal" tourist it is Mexico, to be more specific, I would like to go to Mexico to celebrate the Day of the Dead (October - November)
The first reason I choose Mexico is, as i said, the Day of the Dead, i like the way they celebrate those days: the decoration with flowers and paper, the Catrinas, the food; and i believe that the meaning of the celebration is so beautiful: those are the days when this world and the next are connected, so it´s time to demonstrate love and respect for the deceased family members. I think it is so comforting to know there´s a day where you can be again with the ones you have lost.
Also, i want to go to Playa del Carmen, i follow a youtuber that lives there and the pictures are beautiful, it looks as paradise (if i have enought money i also would go to Acapulco, that´s the beach where the Chavo went for vacations).
I definitely would like to study in Mexico, probably to get the PhD, or work with another professionals, in internet there are many papers and investigations from the UNAM, the good information is always appreciated.
it´s quite sad that in this age women still can´t do and go wherever they want because it´s dangerous for them because of men :/, sadly Mexico is a country that has a big problem with this because of its conservative views about sex equality :(, ...but apart from that it´s festivities and landscapes are indeed beautiful

ResponderBorrarI knew about the Day of the Dead by the movie "Coco" :D It seems to me a lovely celebration and I would like to be in one too <3. Changing of the subject, I´m scared to travel alone because I´m a woman too :c I really hope someday we can outpace all these fears!

ResponderBorrarWith a group the four people or just two you could know the south of Chile for the “Carretera Austral”. You did choose the beautiful celebration, i believe than if you begin to study there, you could go to celebration, success in your plans.
